In Digicon OA, ever since we added the South Mississippi functionality to Contract Approval, the code has turned into spaghetti. For this idea, I want to create a stand-alone app that allows funeral homes to login and create their own contract approval queues and approve contracts. We will have templates, such as the existing queue that currently exists in OA (Contract Approval -> Sales Professional Approval -> Contract Ratification, etc.) and the SM queue that also exists in OA if our users aren't picky and want a default queue. This will allow new funeral home users with stringent requirements to easily create a processes that suit their needs and not have to adapt to FD's contract approval processes.
Because this is a hefty project, this idea will only concern creating the front-end application and we will worry about the back-end aspects (creating endpoints, db tables, etc) for a future hack week. We will create the back-end values that hold the user's input, but worry about data persistence for another hack week. See me for more details about this.
The reason this is a stand-alone app, is because I wanted to use Vue.js for the Front-End. This idea could easily be implemented in OA with JSF, but I want to have fun and use a technology I don't normally use! I vow to have basic knowledge of Vue.js before the Hack Week starts and to have a template project in Github for anyone interested to pull.
